New Club Mentors
When OCN was founded in 2008 our focus was exclusively supporting Objectivist Campus Clubs. We've made tremendous progress on this front, creating and collecting quality resources and providing hands-on assistance to campus club leaders all over the country.
We are just beginning to expand our efforts to support Objectivist Community Clubs as well. If you would like to start a new community club in your area and would like personalized help and assistance, please fill out the application below.
We are going to select a few individuals from the applications we receive to participate in a structured mentor program. We will initially interview you to learn more about you and explain the basic approach that we have used and have seen work in other cities. We will schedule a monthly phone call with you to hear about your goals and plans for the month, give advice on any challenges you're facing, and provide helpful resources.
Applicants must have a good grasp of the philosophy of Objectivism, be passionate about Objectivism and its application to daily living, be able to motivate like-minded individuals towards building a community group, and understand how to delegate responsibilities.
In addition, applicants must be willing to set aside enough time and contribute sufficient resources to attend to the development of the group. They should have some experience in leading/managing others, either in a social group setting or in a work environment. Applicants must not support the Libertarian Party, The Objectivist Center, or any other enemies of Ayn Rand.
