Welcome to the Objectivist Club Network

A project of The Undercurrent

The Undercurrent is a campus magazine distributed at college campuses and communities across the country. We release a print edition once per semester, and in the interim, regularly post additional articles, blog entries, and campus media responses reports to our website.

OCN's Mission

  • Make it easier to run an Objectivist club: increasing the chances they continue after the current leaders graduate or move on
  • Increase the effectiveness of Objectivist clubs: provide more value to existing members, improve their understanding of Objectivism and ultimately grow membership

Join us

We need to change the culture. Fundamentally, the only way to do this is by spreading the right ideas to those who are receptive. The Ayn Rand Institute (ARI) is making tremendous progress in this effort but more help is needed in this monumental effort. Objectivist clubs are gaining momentum by bringing the battle where it needs to be: the university.

When the OCN was started in 2007, there were about 35 active Objectivist campus clubs among the approximately 2500 four-year colleges and universities in the US. There are now over 50 in the United States and 14 others spread throughout Canada, Norway, Germany, Kyrgystan, Israel, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Uganda, and Venezuela. The Undercurrent is working to expand this global phenomenon by strengthening the OCN. By making it easier to start and run Objectivist clubs and increasing the effectiveness of established clubs, we will help YOUR club flourish and grow. We want to help your club become a successful fountainhead of intellectual study, rational discourse, and activism – so we are bringing together students from around America and the world to defend freedom and individual rights, and make life-long, value-based friendships.

Help us help you by Registering your club.
